SMS Sankt Georg: An Austro-Hungarian Armored Cruiser in the First World War Amidst the tumultuous waters of the Adriatic Sea, the imposing figure of SMS Sankt Georg cuts through the waves. Launched in 1903, this Austro-Hungarian armored cruiser was a formidable presence in the Mediterranean during the early 20th century.
